
With B2 First (FCE), show that you can use everyday written and spoken English to work or study in a 100% English-speaking environment.
B2 First for Schools is an upper-intermediate English qualification corresponding to CEFR level B2. First for Schools level B2 is the level with which all students should leave lycée in Terminale. In higher education, the First diploma is recognized as a valid English qualification for the engineering diploma.
Exam format
B2 First is an in-depth English language test.
The new version of the exam was updated in 2015. It consists of the following 4 tests:

Be able to understand different types of texts such as newspapers and magazines. Use of English assesses your command of grammar and vocabulary. This test will be graded twice, once for reading comprehension and once for Use of English. |

The scores given for each skill and the overall score are aligned with the Cambridge English Scale.
The first reading comprehension and Use of English test is scored twice: once for the reading comprehension section and once for the Use of English section.
Your overall performance will be calculated by averaging your scores in reading, listening, writing, speaking and Use of English. The coefficients for each of the four skills and Use of English are equal.
The exam is available on paper and on computer.
